I've tried all of the ones in ProTools SE, and I haven't found what I want. No luck duplicating it with an actual bass, either, I just don't have the talent. Maybe I can do it from the keyboard, if I can find the right patch. I don't mind paying for a soft synth package, if it is exactly what I want, but this bassline is critical.

This may sound like a no brainer to some of you, but I've got an issue that I can't figure out. Every time I go down a bumpy or even a rough road it sounds like something is trying to shake itself loose from the back of my hearse.

I took it to a local muffler guy and he says the pipes and hangers are all good, but the muffler is probably what's making the noise. It's not like I don't trust the guy (even if he DID put a greasy, disgusting hand print on my hood) when it comes to exhausts, but can a muffler that isn't loud in the traditional sense REALLY make that much noise? Or could there be something else coming loose under my rollers?

It does seem to be getting worse since I scraped bottom coming out of an uneven parking lot, but I'm having a hard time believing the muffler could make THAT much noise.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got a call at work yesterday (I'm a truck drive so I'm pretty much always at work) and my wife told me to pull over she had some bad news to tell me and she was not going to tell me until I was parked. Just after aboout noon yesterday my dad decided he couldn't take the pain any longer. He sat back in his easy chair and pulled the trigger. He left behind a wife, 6 sons and 2 daughters and a lot of friends and in-laws. We are still trying to put together the pieces but I think whats going to happen is that he will be cremated. He loved his Harley so I plan next summer to get on his Harley with him on my back and ride from Kirksville,Mo. all the way out to southern California where I will be spreading his ash's over his mothers grave. I think he would have liked the ride if he was alive so this seems to be a fitting way to send him off on his final journey....:angel2:

Besides the fact that it took me 6 times to spell September correctly, This sat night Sept 4 is the Pit Stop on Jefferson Hwy cruise night hosted by the Mopar club. Many of these guys come to our show. We typically get there by 6pm. 4117 Jefferson Hwy Metairie, LA. They usually have a good turn out at this show so I wouldn't come too late. Oh weather permitting

So I was looking at craigs last night and came across this.




After I picked my self up out of the chair, I sent an e-mail saying I'll take it! Got a call this morning while in the shower and it went to voice mail. Called back the number and got an answering machine. Left a happy message and to call me right away...nothin back. Called again...nothing. Finally I listened to the voice mail and it gave me a different number to call. DUH! I just kept hitting redial...I called around 3pm today and was told it was sold and gone already. I got to talking with her and she told me it came from LA County Coroners office, then was sold to someone in Mexico only to have it resurface again in AZ. It was left in a car repair yard for some time until it was again sold for ...get this...$150 bucks! I am shooting myself in the head tonight for letting this get away. Man...:eusawall: :suicide:

I seem to have acquired a few as of late and I'm learning how to sharpen them so that I can eventually put them into service. I am a firm believer that there are certain overtly manly things that should never die - and shaving with a straight razor and using shaving soap with a brush should be on that list of skills a man should have.

I am quite happy with the resurgence of manly shit - the emo/metro thing does nothing but make me want to beat someone to death with a slightly rotten trout. Men should be men, men should do manly things, men should engage in manly hobbies and frankly men should be able to grow a pretty boss beard and keep it up.

Last Sunday I had my hearse towed to a shop because for 3 months it has been sitting. I have had a bad misfire that I couldn't find. Once the shop had it, they found 6 cylinders with low compress. Pulled off the heads and found on piston with a chunk missing, took the motor out and took it to the engine shop that built it on Thursday. They found 3 more that were cracked.


On the way home from the engine shop, my truck had a catostrophic failure of the AC compressor under the hood in traffic. Engine stalled out and truck billowed smoke & freon for a moment. Pulled off the road ASAP and drove up onto the curb. The curb being taller than normal blew the right front tire upon impact. My truck was out of traffic but the trailer I was towing was not.

Here are the pictures. Luckily, the truck is fixed, new AC compressor & 4 new tires.
