This is what I imagined as I brought her back to life...
It was 1974, the summer after graduation. She packed this soft yellow organza dress into a suitcase. They drove with the windows down, hair wild in the wind—chasing music festivals, and picking wildflowers in Mendocino.
Then, life happened. The dress was hung up. Pressed. Stored. Moved from closet to closet. Forgotten—but never discarded.
And now, decades later, she’s been revived. Damaged sleeves gently removed, her collar softened with daisy lace and pearls. The original bow? Now reimagined as a sash to cinch the waist.

She’s in excellent condition, with just a bit of wear on the sash and a small unsewn seam (pic)—but it hardly takes anything away from her glow-up.
